We are certified Passivhaus Designers and can help you achieve this standard efficiently and cost effectively.

Environmental Design & Passivhaus

Are you looking to create a home or space tailored for maximum levels of comfort and well-being and for low environmental impact? Are you looking to design a Passivhaus? We offer a standalone environmental design consulting service for clients and other architectural practices at all project stages that can help you achieve just that.

Environmental design consists of the scientific study of the characteristics of the local climate and natural resources such as temperatures, prevailing winds, sun path, material properties, the incidence of rain, vegetation, and relationship with the surroundings in order to create design elements and strategies which reduce energy and water use and overall environmental impact while creating a comfortable and healthy environment for occupants.

We use advanced software and tools in order to carry out analysis and measure the performance of different design proposals and elements of the building to reach the desired outcome.

Strategies will be specific to each individual project and can include optimization of glazed areas, shading systems and operable windows, incorporation of appropriate types of passive heating and cooling systems, healthy, breathable and low carbon materials and so on.
